Bryn Goch (2004)

Jaap Stuurman

Bryn Goch was built around the idea of a mid-Welsh narrow gauge railway which unavoidably has slate transport as its main theme. An interesting variation on the theme was a canal basin and narrowboats around which the layout was designed. This is reminiscent of the Glyn Valley Tramway, but his main interest lies with Talyllyn Railway prototypes as he is an active member of the TRPS.

Bryn Goch was a great success at several shows, winning the David Lloyd Trophy at Expo-NG on 25 October 2003 and third prize at the Valkenburg show of August 2004. The layout has now been dismantled and the structures were used for new projects.
